Driving home around a couple of weeks ago and the DAB radio cut out....and ever since then I'm getting intermittent reception. I'm figuring it's a loose connection ? It will work fine for a few minutes, then cuts and shows no reception. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it.

I've tried re tuning but to no help. When it stopped I was happily cruising round the M25 (ie <40mph on a smooth bit of road !)

Any ideas on where to look, what to prod, twist or pull etc to help ?

This is a 2014 plate Evoque with DAB / Radio / TV etc......

Thanks

This has happened also in my 2012 Disco 4. Lots of crackling, DAB has disappeared and the satnav seems to reset itself on every crackle.

Can anyone recommend someone near Guildford who isn't Hunters to look at this?

Steve - try setting the TV / dab to a wrong country then re tune it then go back to UK and retune . Otherwise it could be something as simple a the aerial socket is loose ?

Killwill -what is wrong with Hunters ( Now re branded Inchape ) Garages are all as good as the last tech who worked on your car .

I'd rather not pay Inchcape prices. I would prefer to find someone competent at a more reasonable price

That happened to the wife’s (while under warranty) the first replaced the touch screen unit, didn’t cure it, then the wiring under the headliner, that didn’t work, then replaced the rear spoiler that contained the aerial, that finally cured it. Only took them three attempts, each time in the garage it was 2 weeks.
