I have one, two door, but it looks crap, hence the question.

I do like the idea of crew cab and hi cap tub, probably stretched to 130.

The V5 has 'pick up' on it and I'd rather not get involved in changing that.

Could you post a photo so we can get an idea of what it looks like and why you think it is crap? Problem with home-brew pickup Range Rovers seems to be the abrupt end to the upper structure just behind the doors. Needs to be a bit more like a Land-Rover truck cab in side-elevation but definitely not raked.

Sorry, perhaps not being clear. Mine is a shed but I have a full set of straight two door panels so it can finish up however I want.

I don't think I've ever seen a RR pick up that looked good, that was more the direction I was taking. I was hoping someone could show me a picture of one that 'works'.

I was once recovered by a RRC with a 130 pick body on the back. I honestly thought it looked terrible. Each to their own I suppose!

Hopefully LR will finally address the lack of double cab when the new defender goes in sale in 2019.

Many years ago one of the vendors at Billing had a RR with part crew cab and hi cap rear. I thought it looked OK but everyone I've showed a photo to wanted to rip their eyes out.

I wonder if if the least worse is full length lower RR body and hope to do a tidy job to the rear of the cab. I can't see any sort of king/crew cab is going to work... unless maybe keeping lower Range Rover body but stretching it on a 130 chassis.

I have quite a few donors/body parts

I think that's as good as it gets for RR pick ups.

I don't suppose you have a picture of the cab/roof from the rear?

Sorry but no - I found that by googling Range Rover pick up. Also I think it is a photoshop because the registration is one of the launch vehicles.

That looks pretty good, but like most Disco/RR Pick up conversions, the glasshouse looks too tall and the windscreen rake looks all wrong too.

OP

your vehicle looks way better than the blue one - it may well be the roll bars, but either way, I would leave it in the used condition it's in, it looks good.

Yes, you're right, it's at Gaydon, complete.

Every dent tells a story, I've had it since 1989. At the time of the photo it had a Knight Racing built 383 Chevy.
