RRS 2014 Central Navigation Screen Issue
Discussion
For the past 18 months my navigation screen has been randomly reseting.
The screen will go blank, there is usually a click from the speakers, 15 sec later you will get a Land Rover logo and then the system will restart.
It will usually be very sluggish for the duration of the journey. It is pretty slow anyway, but for example turning on the heated seats might take 30-45 seconds to get a reaction per button press.
The dealer has so far updated the software 3 times.
My view is it is hardware as I have yet to hear of lots of Range Rovers running around with nav / entertainment screes that keep turning off and reseting.
I involved JLR, they said they would talk to the dealer. Low and behold ... another update.
I have just complained again and Lookers in Battersea can now get it in in 4 weeks time and will drum roll ... do a software update and if that does not work investigate further. How many can they do! Also they will look at it, it will be fine and they will say it is fixed.
The reset can happen 3 times in one journey or once every 10 days - so of course if it does not do infront of them they will say it is fine. I have shown the pictures of a start up screen whilst driving down the motorway ( passenger took it).
Any suggestions as to how I can move this forwards?
