Good afternoon
Just wondering if anyone has had this issue or can suggest a solution

over the last few weeks the car (2013 Evoque) has started having electrical issues - wouldn't open the doors, key not present messages etc

then one remote stopped working - changed battery still nothing, second remote worked for about a week now nothing will lock or unlock the car

Then i had an issue that when i put the car in park the gear selector wouldn't turn - after about 10 mins it worked and i was able to drive

everything was fine for 2 days then when i arrived at a destination the car wouldn't go into Park , I drove to a second location the car wouldn't move out of D and the dashboard flashed "D" - couldn't change gears or drive so had to get car recovered - currently it is sitting at a garage awaiting inspection

any ideas ?

Has the car not had much use recently?

These are all symptoms of a failing battery or faulty charging system.

Either fully charge the battery with a battery charger or fit a known good fully charged battery.
Often solves the issue on modern electrically complicated vehicles that throw a strop if the battery isn't perfect.

If that doesn't solve the issue then you need a diagnostic with appropriate equipment - not a cheapie code reader!

Check battery.
It’s build date is usually stamped on one of the terminals.
If it’s a Land Rover battery then it’s likely to be the original so that would be my first check.
