L663 Defender - Service Intervals

Afternoon all,

I recently picked up a D300 HSE, which was been serviced once at 24 months but only 9,500 miles. It's just hit 19,000 miles and is a month or so off being 12 months since that service.

I'm intending to have it serviced at half the recommended interval, but I was just wondering whether people think it's worth following the service schedule but at half the interval, or rather just having an oil and filter change done at the mid-point between services?

Also, is anyone aware as to whether, if I was to purchase a LR service plan, would I be able to half the interval and still use the service plan?

I’d personally keep to the standard service schedule for the car for warranty but also add a half way mileage/age oil and filter change to keep the oil fresh.
