Am returning to the UK soon for a holiday and will be an hour from Skipton. Have seen the experience day pop up and was thinking of a full day with my 2 kids.

To those that have done it, is it worth it?

I did it with my eldest for his 14th birthday late last year. We each took a share of the driving and while not inexperienced off road, I was impressed how well the standard road-biased Pirelli Scorpions cope with the conditions. His favourite part was the wading, which was impressively deep.

Is it worthwhile? That depends on whether you a) need the training, b) will use your vehicle off road at all, or are just curious about what it can actually do should it be required or c) are just treating it as a fun day out with the kids.

We both enjoyed it, and he liked driving (though he does drive my RR a lot at home), but I'm not sure I learned much more than I already knew about operating the various off-road modes or how to approach various obstacles.

TL,DR; If you've never driven off road or seen what your Land Rover is really capable of then yes, it is worthwhile.
