I have a new Vogue supercharged and it's had quite a few issues - they seem to be mostly electrical ones. Disappointing in a £70k + car.

Last one (last week) had the RR losing all power and had it towed away - the dealer told me 'maybe a week' before it's repaired.

I suspect the frequent 'pinging' of warnings 'gearbox failure' 'suspension failure' 'limited range available' etc are all related to the electrics.

Are there any other supercharged owners who are having gremlins?

Is this the 07 model with the new interior? If so I cant relate, but I havent had a problem with my 06, other than a faulty front display which was replaced the same day.

I had a gearbox failure warning in the diesel before this one, and this was caused by shifting between low and high gears above a certain speed, cured temporarily by using the reset method: turn the engine off, open the door, close the door and locking the car from the inside using the key, then unlock and start engine.

Sorry to hear about the problems though, when you get the gremlins ironed out I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

The wiring is VERY complicated in the new RRs. Fibre optics etc are also employed. The garages realy struggle with them when it comes to fault finding and repairing.

It's come back from the dealer and appears fixed. It was the alternator according to the garage... It's a late 2005 build bought early 2006*.

I might try that reset routine though - thanks for that. Where did you find that?

It's probably the only car in my little collection that I forgive for misbehaving - not sure why.

Edit:

*Just checked registration, bought late 2005.
