Thought it might be a good idea if we had a thread where people can post up some pics of their Landies.
Here is one my Dads Land Rovers, his 90 XS. But I'm insured to drive it
Lets see some more!

Step 1: Locate somewhere to host the pic. I use www.photobucket.com
Step 2: Upload the pic and copy the url it will give you. (on photobucket its the 1st url out of the 3 options)
Step 3: Add [pic] at the front of the url and [/pic] at the end of the url on the pistonheads page. Finally press preview to check all is working.
e.g [pic] www.website/picture.jpg [/pic] (do not leave gaps though!)
Hope this helps!

I've had GRUB for about 10 years now She used to look like this:
but last winter I did some extensive work to her: Galv'd chassis, stainless exhaust, G4 interior, heated seats, alloys wheels mainly. She's been mainly bolted together with stainless nuts and bolts and had a few other bit's galv'd to help prevent rust. I also rebuilt both axles the gearbox/transfer box and the top end of the engine anything with any play got binned and replaced. Oh I also polybushed her which makes her handle really well if you give her some major welly into corners you can feel the tranfer box winding up
, Many sports cars are amazed to see her squezze up the inside on a roudabout
. Also fitted LED lights to side and tail/brake's as it makes for safer driving. Lot's of other minor mod's as well to make her as comfy as possible but she still
ing leaks when the wind and rain are right
She'll never be finished and I'm already thinking of getting a new bulkhead galv'd ready for when this one gives up to tin worm.

That is absoloutley the dogs danglies! When I'm older I really want to own one, mind you I would have to find one that was allready in perfect nic as I have no technical skills to restore one!
Any chance of some more pics of it?

Cheers!
TBH you don't really need too many technical skills to get started. Stuff like the series models are simple things compared to modern vehicles. The Series One was the first car I bought for myself when I came out of uni, and I spent a lot of time just doing minor cosmetic stuff to it back then. However, with something so simple, it was a great way to gradually learn about engines and mechanics. The old owners / workshop manual (you can now download most of these now) was very helpful at explaining things, because back in the 50s, the owner was expected to do a lot of the basic maintenance himself anyway. I can remember how satisfied I was to find that I could actually fix the steering box at the side of the road when it broke one day. I also practiced fibreglass repairs on the old bulkhead, although I've now had it properly rebuilt.
Always happy to post a picture of her....
As I said, looks cracking! Well worth the effort and like you say I bet it is great knowing you did most of the work getting it to look that good! Love the pic with the dog on your profile, I think there was also another pic with the lab on the dog thread which was a cracker.
P.S glad to hear that it may not be so difficult to restore one, however it would be a long time before I have the chance to do it!

Here are some photo's of our Landy, a mate and I bought it last year and we are currently rebuilding it. Actually I say we, he is doing all the work as I'm working away at the moment.
It's a 1980 109" ex army 24V FFR beasty. I can't wait to get it up and running properly!
My mate Dave with our new P&J the day we trailer back to Lancaster.
The Landy outside my house, the engine was seized so we had to back the trailer up the drive and down the side of the house, it took a while...
Me, a few beers and getting on with stripping the old girl down, the garage isn't big enough so all work is being done outside!
Bulkhead has been repaired and so has the engine, Dave is starting to put it all back together again, hopefully it will be running when I get back in a few weeks!
As you can see, there is a lot of work to do!
Bulkhead has been repaired, chassis rust treated (luckily it had no holes!) we rebuilt the engine with a new head, and carb, new clutch, and loads of other stuff!
