Had it 3 weeks now and came across a funny yesterday. Changed seats with the wife so pressed the memory seat switch and ended up with the side mirrors dancing around but the seat staying put. Seems Landrover and TVR have something in common, iffy wiring.eek

I know its a new vehicle but has it happened before in the Landrover range?

Iffy wiring rofl Landrover invented it! That and the scotch lock thingies that seem to be festooned across any loom produced by them.

Oh god lets hope this is the only quirk. Saying that being told side steps where not actually for stepping on was a nice one when you had just forked out £600.

Jesus! The ones on our 90 and Discovery are solid as a rock! Sorry to hear about that! Are they really flimsy?

My old discovery ones where good and we need them on the Freelander so had no choice but to put them on.

They fit into a bracket which is far bigger than the bar from the steps. What's more the bracket has a round bar at the front and it's held on by one bolt. Not the best design in the world but maybe it's supposed to move in case a side impact?

Drivers side one is solid, it was the passenger side one when you put your weight on it, it dipped on the outside edge so our daughter could have slipped off as she needs to use the side steps for access.

To be fair Landrover put 4 blokes on it for half an hour to make it feel more secure, it doesn't dip anymore. Although why they advertise them in their brochure as side steps when they claim they aren't is beyond me.

hehe

I managed to sort out the 'dodgy wiring', he was using the spare key, as we have 2 keys with re-chargable batteries so you have to use both periodically to keep the batteries charged. MOH was trying to use the seat memory on the key we hadn't set anything on.
