OK how about I do a short video and post it to pistonhead.tv, I have to say I am really excited about this
FYI The upgrade is being done on Friday, the rrp is £895 plus Vat but being a PH'er and Vmax'er I managed to secure a good discount

That seems alot for the upgrade. Superchips charge alot less but claim similar gains. I also cannot see how the increases will knock over over 3 seconds off the 0-60 time. While a 20-25% increase in power and torque is certaibnly noticable the thing still weighs around 2.5 tons.
Had mine done, not by DMA but the figures quoted above sound familiar. The truck is great fun to drive now. Not that it wan t before its just now its like driving a car not a Land rover.
My cost was £500 through www.disco3.co.uk
Good luck one and all.

This weekend me and a friend went to London from Cheltenham in a TDV6 HSE, brand new with winch and everything so fairly heavy.
On the way there, driving pretty quickly (up to 100..) we did 22MPG. On the way back, trying to conserve fuel and spending a lot of the journey with cruise control set at 60 or 70mph we still only achieved 25MPG. Without the heavy winch and everything this probably would have improved, but still I thought it was not a great figure for a modern diesel.
Honestly now, would a chip really improve this? Everyone claims MPG improvements but is there any concrete evidence?

Superchips are a bunch of arse and couldn't write a decent map if their lives depended on it from my experiences of them.
A smidge off topic now, but one chip company in the back of evo mag claimed to gain +30bhp on a Clio 1.5 DCi. I believe it was on only a chip. That's an awful lot of power gain on such a small engine...
Agreed if I were to chip my engine I would go with the most reputable company I could. Plenty of scope for damaging the engine, ruining fuel consumption and generally doing everything sub-optimally I imagine. Would have imagined superchips were pretty good though??

they aren't
i've witnessed it a few times, admittedly not on landies, but on sports cars, where they claim to have got the map nicely laid down, and then seen the look on my tuners face when he tries to fathom why its running at nowhere near what it should be. I've had nothing but trouble with them, and i know the same applies to at least 3 of my good mates. There's a lot of good companies out there, the aforementioned is one i would give a wide berth
