I like all Landrovers, but for me the disco 3 is far to big and a bit postman pat.(looks like his van)but nice to drive.Just not for me.
We're umming and ahhing about one, too. Our Disco II is coming up for replacement the middle of this year, and although we've had 2 Rangies and 3 Discos over the past few years, the looks of the Disco III don't do anything for me. The interior's nothing to write home about, either. Trouble is, we tried downsizing before and hated it. The Jeep (spit) Cherokee we tried was horrid. I'd rather walk than buy an X5. The Volvo XCthingy looks OK, but the residuals are huge - nice if you own one, not so nice otherwise. I don't need ultimate off-road ability, but I do need a good tow car that can deal with 1.5 tonnes of trailer and TVR.
So, dunno. A friend keeps trying to pimp a Subaru Forester on us, but I don't like Japanese cars. Perhaps we'll just keep the Disco and the money in the bank.
From what the familly noticed last night on the HSE model, the dash has been updated for the better, the air con layout is different to the 05 model, the sunroof is larger, the seats seem slightly different too.
The HSE now comes with adaptive front bi-xenon which follow the steering wheel, this is very impressive, but if maneuvering at slow speed an additional side light comes on illuminating the close to the front and side on the car ... nice

A facelifted D3 is due 2008/2009.
