does anyone know anyone or a business that they'd recommend to weld up the footwells and door posts on a series 2a bulkhead??
the rot isn't too bad at all but I've never tried welding and I'm not about to practice on something like this!

I'm based near Stourbridge but any ideas would be great.

Since no-one has been able to answer your exact question, just a thought..

For the cost of paying someone to do the welding, you could probably pay most of the purchase price of a MIG welder and DIY. MIG welding is much, much easier than gas (although some might argue different!) and the footwell repair panels are inexpensive too. I use a gasless MIG (there's a core of flux in the wire that creates the gas shield rather than having to keep bottled gas) to make the whole thing even simpler.

Then you'll have learned to weld and will have the MIG for future use - no bad thing when running a series landy

Sorry missed this thread welding a bulkhead is not for the beginner IMO. You can get repair panels for most of the bulkhead from the usual outlets. As for finding a good welder ask around you local offroad club. If your door pillars are bad it's a wing off job!! So if you're able to do this for your welder it'll save on the folding stuff.

the bulkhead is out of the vehicle anyway -- I couldn't begin to weld it as I wouldn't be able to line it up right!
