Mine are rusted onto the drive shaft on the front and the bearings are shot so i need to cut the feckers off

Oh well, think of all the time you have saved in the past by not servicing it.

A bit of copper grease on the spline gives a fair bit of protection even if the water gets in.

Try applying some heat. If the bearings are fuggered anyway it will not damage them anymore!

too late

chain drill round the center bit then ground off the top and bottom of remaining bit and then knocked it off with a chisel. Lots of rust on splines but they should clean up. if not new CVs from paddock costing next to bugger all
