Hi all, feeling just a little bit smug with myself.

In the last two or three weeks I have completed a full fluids change, full service, complete airspring replacement (all 4), new front drilled and grooved discs and new pads. This afternoon I did the passenger side blend motor (okay the easiest )and ordered some new leds to go behind the Hevac unit, where a couple of bulbs had blown.

Anyone who tells you a P38 Range Rover is a complicated bit of kit is lying! Yes, some of the jobs were fiddly in the extreme, but all I have is a fairly rudimentary toolkit and a trolley jack from Halfords.

It all just screws/bolts together - it has got to be the best thing to work on yourself ever, and the parts are dirt cheap too!

Some jobs can be a right pain, but there is nothing like the satisfying feeling of finishing and having done it yourself.

It's only hte electrics on the P38 that are complex. Rest of it is good old BL technology.

Isn't the whole idea of any land rover that you can take it to bits with two spanners, fit all the bits into the back of any
other land rover then bolt it back together again at the other end ?

BIg Meccano yes.

(it's you're own fault if you buy your kids a play station - not theirs).
