Fantastic - 100% my dream LR and looks an incredible quality restoration. I was fortunate to be allowed to climb up into the cab of one at a recent off-road event, but didn't drive. One day....... driving

That is awesome! Always liked the Forward Control Landies. thumbup

A mate of mine is just finishing off his Series III 109' 24V FFR. I keep trying to get him to join up and post his piccies on here.

I'll keep harassing him, he has done a cracking job on a real budget too.

This is taking up a lot of time now.Just pulling back in to the yard after the(Woodman)meet on the bank holiday at easter. My mate in the turret done a stirling job guiding me through the country lanes there and back.Even if he did get whacked by a few branches on the way.laugh

That's not the Bromley Pageant is it?

Really nice looking Land Rovers, I'd love one to play with.

Although The Ambulance was 100% original in every way.(still had all the strectchers, resus equipment, and working blues and two,s)It just wasnt a good road vehicle.Compared to the G.S it sat on the road nice, due to the immense weight it was carrying but was no where near as fast.It would sway in a cross wind, and once i nearly put it on its side after having to brake quickly from 50mph.Coupled with the horrendus fuel consumption of 8mpg compared with the G.S of 14mpg it was one of the main reasons i decided to sell on.

That reminded me.A few years back some one on one of those mini motor bikes(not the chav ones)but the ones like a monkey bike. They pulled at from the front of a parked artic straight in to the front of me,as i was slowing down from 30mph.They hit the tow bar full on in the chest.Somehow and i dont know how,but his head managed to set of the fire extingusher that sits on the outside above the shovel and pick.He was taken to hospital with all his ribs broken, punctured lung, ruptured spleen, broken leg and head injuries. It was later found out that he had no licence, and no insurance. How did he manage to get a job with Avis as a courier when he had no particulars was any bodys guess.
