Hi all, been looking for a TD6 Range Rover (economy and insurance - can live without the 4.4) in the 03 shape preferably a Vogue with all the toys.

I'm looking for something quite specific (I think) in that it's got to be black with cream leather and privacy glass - I've seen a few, but just wondered if any owners on here could give me any advice on essential options / reliability / anecdotals?

To give you an idea, this one is pretty much spot on what I'm looking for:

Is that all of the money? What are these things like for mileage / major problems?

Thanks all.

Im also in the market for a TD6 Vogue for the same reasons.A problem i have noticed on some of the higher mileage TD6,s is a tendancy for the fuel injectors to be replaced. Not cheap at £150 each.Other than that very reliable. But parts are a hell of a lot expensive than the previous P38.

Not TD6 specific, but that seems a little steep for a pre-interior lift car - I have recently bought a 2005 V8 Vogue with 17k on the clock for £30k - the 05-model cars have the later touchscreen sat nav system, properly integrated bluetooth phone, venture cam and so on. I realise £30k may be over budget, but comparably, that 03 car you linked too seems a little expensive perhaps.

Depending on your mileage do you really need a TD6, V8s can be bought for a real saving. Mine still manages late teens and I seem to remember the diesel only managing early twenties.

My 04 Td6 SE averaged per computer just under 27mpg. Also I had a 02 4.4 HSE and that did 16mpg. My SE has no extras above standard spec where as the HSE I had was fitted with sat-nav/TV and was near enough to Vogue spec. I didn't like the sat-nav so used my tom-tom and the TV reception was rubbish so again never used it, but I understand the later models have better sat/nav system. The only things I wish were on the SE are folding mirrors and xenons other than that I didn't want to pay extra for Vogue or HSE. There are some other Td6 engine problems so buy one still under LR warranty for peace of mind.
