hello, Im thinking of getting some lr driving lights for my 03 defender but dont really want the lr safari 5000 light. To my knowledge the newer versions (part number VUB500890) are not sold separately and are only sold with a wiring kit which i already have in place. Does anybody know a way that i can get a pair of these lights on their own? My local dealer suggested buying the individual components of the lights that are sold as repair items but im not convinced that this will make up a complete light as it works out at about only £60 a light. A freind also said they are the same as the ones fitted on the new discovery which can be bought individually but have different fixed brackets. Can these be modified to fit a defender a-bar?

Nothing on ebay either. only the complete discovery lamp kit.

I dont mind paying £88 each for them as with the safari 5000 but i can only find these newer ones in a kit for £234.

ps the lights in question are pictured on a silver defender in this months LRO magazine in the article "top 10 buys" (number 1)

thanks

i like the idea of the lighforce lights but would they fit into a lr defender abs a bar from the dimensions shown it looks like they would protrude 50mm or so. Is the fixing bracket shown in the dimensions link above adjustable?

Dont think it is in the way you want, but could easily mod a bracket up I reckon.

Im going to fit a pair of 170's onto a standard size a bar for my Defender.
