hi guys,
i've floated over from the porsche fourm to ask a quick couple of questions please..

i fancy buying an old defender for a play thing but also have a passion for military so:

ideally i would like a 90 wolf and then added a few off road bits as and when the finances are there or i could buy a civvy defender and slowly turn it into a wolf look alike.

which of the above makes more sense financially? i'm not looking to go extreme just want the odd day out in it plus the ability to use it for the weekend etc...

any advice or tips would be great especially want to avoid or aim for..

thanks in advance.

i've seen a few mainly 110's advertised - there's one on ebay at the moment and a couple of 90's that have been sold.

Wolfs are about.Starting price is around £13,000 upwards. You will find that the majority of these have been rebuilt from wrecks by enthusiasts.Very few come on to the civvy scene from the military, and those that do are the wrecked ones.Although they look the same as the 90 and 110,they are in fact a completely re-designed vehicle including a revised chassis and suspension. The original concept was for the vehicle to mount heavy weapons hence the WMIK (Weapons Mount Installation Kit)This is where the different chassis, suspension, and roll over protection come in.
