Hi,

I have a 1972 Lightweight but the headlights sometimes decide to stop working? This obviously causes a problem when driving at night! I have checked the fuses but they seem ok? Also, my wipers have decided to completely stop working!

Any info would be a great help!

Cheers. biggrin

On a 72 Land Rover that's a feature....smile

It could be many things, but most likely would be wires that are chaffed through, connectors that have corrosion in them, a ground connection that has come loose or is corroded, a switch that's worn.

I would look at the grounds for the circuit[s] first.

Get a wiring schematic for your lightweight and see if the headlight and wiper circuits share any connectors or grounds or have anything in common.

Check the connections on the back of the six way light switch. These have a tendancy to short out at times.
