Range Rover P38 stereo lockout - please help!

I disconnected the battery on my P38, and then stupidly re-entered the wrong code on my OE Clarion Diversity stereo when it prompted 'code'.

Nothing happened - it just showed the number, with no prompt for 'code' anymore.

I re-disconnected the battery, and reconnected it, and now it shows '----', and doesn't respond to anything.

I got the correct code from my friendly local LR dealer, after giving my chassis number, but now I can't enter it, because I can't get a prompt for 'code' anymore!

As the saying goes, heeeellllpppp!

Are you sure you have the right four digit code.You have done every thing correct so far.Disconnect and re-connect again,then leave for 20 mins then try again.

yes - I'm sure - as I said I got it from the Land Rover main dealer via the chassis number. The problem is, I can't even get it to say 'code' now - it just says '----' so I can't even try to enter the code!

How many times have you tried it?As i think you get three chances before it reverts to lock out,then there is a delay before you can try again.

You just have to leave it, if it doesnt alow you to enter, you will have to return it to www.clarion-service.co.uk . Do not risk sending to anybody else, nasty bill will follow !!

Hi guys - I've sorted it - you have to press the BAND button for 3 seconds and then you can re-enter the code. All done and working - I've posted this for anyone else's future reference.
