Need some help with finding a garage to service the Defender around Guildford, Surrey. I’m currently trying to get quotes for the 48K service for my TD5 and as it has a FSH, and the fact I only plan on keeping it for about another 8 months, (sell early summer) though I would get a service by a garage to keep the FSH and make it more sellable next year.

I’ve tried Hunters (main dealership) as they serviced it before. I had it just to see what they said, about £850……. Wow. Have tried Guava, a main Land rover garage, but not, sort of! £575. Tried both Keith Gott and Kinsley Cross Country both around the £530 mark.

All quote a lot really. Does anyone have any recommendations for Surrey area? Looking for a good garage, that would service my Defender and not kill the bank.

Cheers

Elliot Engieering near Storrington. 1/2 hr south of guildford. 01903 892176.
They deal in new and old land rover (only) servicing and repairs. Been going for yrs. Cheaper than main dealers and they know their stuff.
In fact the local dealer uses them for work they cant manage to fix themselves.

Good to see some positive things about KCC, never used the, before.

A company (not KCC) which lost my full service history for my old 90 truck cab which had dome 20,000 miles since new in 15 years will not be getting any of my business!
