Overfinch - What the hell is this worth?
Discussion
I have the opportunity to buy a 1993 Range Rover LSE Auto (classic shape, long wheel base), that has big spec and a FULL Overfinch 5.7 Litre conversion.
In decent condition bar the usual rusty tailgate etc, and has done 100,000 miles with bundles of history. It drives really well with no suspension or gearbox problems and goes like absolute stink!
The guides are obviously no help whatsoever, giving it a "disposal value" of about £900.00 and I would love to own it for that, but it ain't gonna happen.
Such a rare thing and I have the absolute horn to buy it, but what do the more experienced than me think it it's worth?
I know there is no definate answer but your thoughts would be appreciated!!

Not much is the answer, sub 8mpg & a nothing special crate engine in what would most probably be a bit of ropey of old dog (they usually are) Consider the £150-£300 a week fuel bill & the buying cost pales into insignificance.
Would be woth more as breaker though if its all up together

I would say you will be looking at more than 1500.... but the condition of the car is petty important. I take it, its not a soft dash? If its structurally 100% It could be 4 or 5k...
Having said that I bought a 1994 air sprung vogue se manual with 79k miles and fsh and no rust anywhere atall for 1500.
Pete.

To the right person the vehicle is worth quite a bit.
We sold ours recently with virtually the same spec (and mint bodywork) for significantly more than all the figures bandied around so far.
A bit like the pricing of classic cars in general, people are prepared to pay a lot for the best vehicles of their type which don't need work.
