How do you turn the Diff lock off

I need to know how to turn the diff lock off
its a 1986 LWB Landy

Move the transfer lever across to the right!

Diff lock light should go out?

If the light stays on it doesnt mean the difflock hasn't disengaged.

May need to reverse for about a vehicle length after moving the lever.

We tried reversing as suggested and hey presto!!!

The diif lock is now off.
