At least 4 Months wait for a new one, cost us £26k, virtually unused latest spec diesel .......
Awfull colour agreed but looking at nearer £17.5k now, must be a bargain for someone out there

We (my dad) bought new in France along with a 90 as delivery was quicker (he wanted a new one for the winter)car is full UK spec and UK registered.
110 is just to big for him in safeways carpark, so is keeping the 90.
Picture is the day we picked it up.
I am not effected by the sale or non sale just cant believe the loss it will make.

Defenders generally have a very good resale value. Especially Station Wagons that have been looked after. It is fairly low spec though which may put people off. Steel wheels, fairly uninspiring colour etc etc...
Where do you have it advertised? Try the Land Rover magazines. You may have more success. I would have thought it would sell pretty quickly.
Not sure PH is the best place to try and sell it.
Cheers
Pete.

I'm considering a new one and what puts me off this one is spec, I would prefer an XS, VAT as this would be reclaimable on a new one and presumably not on this one, and the colour to a lesser degree.
Top band car tax is also niggling me, over £300 now but whose to say they wont hike it to £1000 in a year or two.

Not an expert on these things at all but as far as I am aware it is an XS bar the ABS.
It has Air con, electric windows, central locking, CD player with 4 speakers, cloth seats.
You boys know better than me but I think the Boost ? alloys are available aftermarket for about £500 with tyres.
Sadly I can do nothing about the crap colour !! :-)
But on a serious note if your thinking of a new one you should at least take a look and save yourself 10k ........ just bring dark glasses or squint a bit.

There are a number of small differences with an XS, none particularly special, but do add up to an all together more attractive package. Best price for an XS seems to be about £21,500 plus VAT, UK supplied.
If your father were VAT registered, and had paid UK VAT at purchase, then your £17,500 would be £14,893 plus VAT to anyone who was VAT registered, and significantly more attractive.
All IMHO opinion as feedback is what you wanted.
