I was giving the arches a good clean today when I noticed something odd, so I jacked her up and sure enough the rear offside spring had snapped. Its a 1995 Discovery V8i.
I leafed through the history file to see that the springs were from Scorpion Racing.
After contacting them with the measurements (420 mm with a 20 mm wire diameter) from the good spring they failed to return my call. This, along with the price of a single spring at £44 plus vat and del AND the fact that one of thier (fairly) new parts had gone pop prompts me to search elsewhere for a full set.
Gentlemen. Your recommendations, please.

Bearmach any good...?

Avoid Scapiron Racing is my advice, but their new adverts seem to offer a life time guarentee on springs, I think. Old Man Emu (OME) are reputed to the dogs danglies, but you probably wont go wrong with bearmach.

There are a lot of choices in terms of spring rates and length for carrying heavy loads, winches, towing, suspension lifts etc, so it is worth speaking to someone to make sure you get the right ones.

Thanks for the reply.
Scorpion Racing seem to be living up to everyones poor opinions. I rang them yesterday with the specifics having acted upon thier earlier (grumpy) request and got a mechanic to jack up the Discovery in order to measure the spring length, wire diameter and number of coils. After being told someone would ring me right back I have now waited over 24hrs.
Very poor. 0/10.

Try Famous Four. They know Land Rover suspension including uprating and raising.

If you want to get OME ring Devon 4x4.

Scorpion, in my opinion, are truly an awful company to deal with and I would rather not buy something than waste my money with those clowns.
