Disco 200tdi timing belt

Hi all, needing some advice on a timing belt matter.

Timing belt snapped on my 1992 J plate 2.5tdi discovery with 112,000 miles the other week. Have fitted new belt, set all the toothed wheels to the appropriate tdc's, but she wont start. When the belt snapped could there have been any damage done to the valves that would cause her not to start. Normally starts no problems.
Any advice please.

Hi, check the push rods as these normally bend, also check the rockers as sometimes these break.

You will have done some other damage to either the valves, pushrods or rockers but you will probably have bent valves or pushrods or both or if you are really unlucky you could have some head or piston damage.
