I was out with my camera yesterday and spotted this, thought I might ask on here if it might be worth rescuing. I have a couple of other pictures

Well it is a Series 2 and judging by the "A" suffix an early one. It would be worth rescuing if the chassis and bulkhead were in reasonable condition and it still had the 2 litre IOE engine (as opposed to the later 2286cc OHV engine..

Its local to me, so I will go back for another look.
Having looked in classifieds and autotrader etc, it seems they can be picked up quite cheaply in running order, so I wonder if this would be a worhwile project from a 'financial' viewpoint, although I know thats not the most important issue. I have been dreaming of fitting a V8 into it, would that be heresy?

If you're not interested, maybe let me know? I'd been interested.

if it's been there long enough to be that green on the outside then there's a good chance that the chassis and bulkhead are cream crackered

if you want one - plenty of abandoned projects in the landie mags with solid chassis' and bulkheads
