I have seen a car on PH that is just the HSE RR 06 which I was not considering anything else other than a Vogue which in itself seems more like the entry model that people but a standard.
I have contacted the garage and they think that the only differences between the high spec HSE they have and the Vogue is no sunroof, Heated Steering wheel and heated rear seats, all that I can live without and probably mod up if I wanted,
Other than that the spec is as follows,
2006 06 Reg, Alaska White. ABS, Adjustable seats, Adjustable steering column/wheel, Alloy wheels, Climate Control, Computer, Cruise control, Driver airbag, Electric mirrors, Electric windows, Electric sunroof, Foglights, Front armrest, Electrically adjustable seats, Head restraints, Headlight washers, Folding rear seats, Heated seats, Leather seats, Lumbar support, Navigation system, Park distance control, Passenger airbag, Power assisted steering, Rear armrest, Side airbags, Radio/CD Multichanger, Rear headrests, Traction control. Insurance Group:17, Parchment Leather, Rear Entertainment System, I Pod, Side Tubes, Privacy Glass, Supercharge grills And Vents, Full Body Colour Coding, Reverse Camera, 22" Overfinch Alloys.
Does anybody think it is a wrong move to not get a Vogue as the minimum requirement ? Would have like the TV in the front also, is that part of the Navigation system as standard on the HSE ?
Thanks all

Yep, along with bluetooth and venturecam... on the vogue. On the HSE IIRC even Navigation was an option, so you can bet Nav + TV + Phone was all optional too.Basically, if it has all the spec you want, get it. If it doesn't, then off you go hunting again. Perceptually the Vogue is the one to go for as practically everything was standard bar window dressing, whereas with an HSE you'd need to check what options boxes were ticked - I have seen HSEs at almost Vogue SE spec (like the one you list) and other's with practically nothing. At least with the Vogue as a starting place you know what you're getting.
22-inch alloys won't do much except ruin one of the best rides in the business.

Vogue seats are the BMW high comfort chairs and are adjustable and far more comfy than the HSE ones.
Vogue every time, there is no case for buying an HSE.

Yepsie, 18-way adjustable.... madness!Vogue every time, there is no case for buying an HSE.

Oh and the rear seat heaters....
And the heated steering wheel...

And the bigger-but-still-sensible wheels....
And....
And....
And....
Remind me, why on earth does anyone buy an HSE?!

Yep, or can trigger from the keyfob (assuming you still have it.... previous owner lost ours....)
Really, how do you do that!!!!I really must RTFM properly one day
Got to say when I was looking I knew that the Vogue would def. have the options I wanted and there are enough around to set the search filter, so a specced up HSE wouldn't even get on the radar! Not badge snobbery (honest) just lots of choice!

and on the p38 vogue they are the same units as rolls royce useI genuinely didn't know that!
They are outstandingly comfortable - although the bloody heat element has gone in mine - I know it is a cheap DIY repair, but I really don't fancy stripping my seat down - not until it gets REALLY cold at least!

Dunno, though I'm sure a stealer would be very happy to charge you a pretty penny for it... Colleague of mine has hers by her bedside - wake up, click heater, dress, make coffee, get in warm car, drive away. Very snazzy!
I have set mine to come on automaticaly at 08:15, wife does the school run around 08:45 lovely warm car every morning none of that cold leather and misted windows to deal with. One of the best inventions since the female breast.
