200 TDI

Anyone know how capable an engine a 200TDI is? My 300 TDI would do 90 easily, will a 200 do the same?

Hi

Depends what it is in, and what Gearbox/ Transfer box combination it has.

Disco's have a higher ratio transfer box so will cruise at a higher speed, unlike a defender.

To be honest if the engine was tweeked with an intercooler and boost and fueling played with on a disco tarnfer box probaly would, but the fuel consumption would be unreal at that speed and let alone the noise.....

200TDI defender will do about 85 in standard trim, but at that speed it does drink the juice.

its a bit noiser & rougher than a 300tdi, not much difference performance wise really. besides turn it up to 15psi like the 300tdi & it goes exactly the same.
