Possible new Landie owner seeking advice

Hello every one - excuse my intrusion into your forum as I am a Lotus owner I spend most of my time on the Lotus forum. However for the first time I am just about to purchase a Land Rover Defender. Having never driven one they look great fun and I would like to do a bit of off roading as a hobby.

If you don’t mind I wondered if anyone would look at this one and offer advice on if it is worth while going for etc. Or what I should be looking out for in particular.

its the defender soft top 200 TDI I am interested in

Well for the best part of 10k I think this not the Landrover to go offroad in,black paint and soft top are not words in the off roader dictionary.For on the road this 90 would be great even on a field with the horse box would look great.My off roader

I would think about 5k to 6k would buy some thing like this!And still pull the horse box!
