P38 Cooling systems
Discussion
Chaps,
My P38 is going in to my indy for a 72k service next week, what would the experienced P38 owners think about me arranging a full coolant change, and rad flush (even rad replacement?) I am concious that effective cooling of the engine can make or break these cars.
At present, I don't lose any coolant, and temp gauge never goes any higher than half-way (he says, touching large blocks of wood!)
Any thoughts? And also if I ask the indy to look at doing it, what kind of costs should I expect?
Thanks all....
Meeja

If it ain't broke....(it can't be a P38!)
Surely there must be something broken, that needs money spending on it?
There is - I *think* one of the blend motors has failed, but am holding back on that for now - plus I have a slow puncture from one of my wheels, because the alloy has corroded on the lip, and I don't get a totally airtight seal between the tyre and the lip - needs a refurb or replacement rim to sort it.Surely there must be something broken, that needs money spending on it?
I've planned in four new tyres, and four wheel refurbs - which is going to hurt the wallet somewhat!
Plus, who knows what else the indy will find on Monday next week?(!)
