Hi All,

Just bought a '98 Defender 110 300Tdi, in blue, and with only 67800 miles on the clock and service history you would not imagine. The 1st owner ('98 - 2005) kept a log of every trip and every diesel fill, mpg, every niggle, issue and subsequent sorting of said! It's brilliant!

I look forward to getting off road ASAP and hopefully meeting some of you too.

Cheers,

DTC

PS - Big thanks to Andy of AJS for the FREE advice - nice one!

Thanks guys :-)

I love it. Such a great driving position and view! Also, I find it very relaxing to drive as it is not a vehicle in which to 'press on'. You have to chill.

As always, I have a list of mods that will start next week. LOL...

Lovely machine, it's one of the all time great designs, always promised myself I'd buy one someday.

Looks like a good find, don't they look so much better in good, original condition than with a snorkel and chequer plate everywhere!

Very nice smile

Get a bigger intercooler fitted and the injector pump tweaked - you seriously won't believe the difference in performance.

I got mine from Allisport and would recommend them.

Thanks, Andy.

I didn't know you had your eye on it too! *wipes sweat from brow*
We need to talk some more so you can make some money out of me!
Needs -
snorkel
chequer plate
bull bars
full lenght roof rack
uprated standard lights
spot lights
injector pump tweaked
a capable off road driver
and my bank balance lightened more laugh

ETA - rock sliders are needed too!

Only that you have a real beauty there, be a shame to spoil the original looks with too much addenda.

It is a real beauty, indeed.

However, I intend to use it as it's makers intended, unlike the 1st two owners that did nothing but tow a caravan with it (it's never been off road).

Anything that gets done to the Def will be done properly and for Functionality’s sake, not the appearance.

If I post that I'm fitting a body kit, big rear wing, smoked glass, lexus styleee lights, a big 'zorst', 20 inch rims and some wikkid ICE, please feel free to chastise me! wink

Those wheels & tyres would be great off road...

Not my cup of tea.

Each to there own though, and all that.
