Hi all,

anyone know the latest lease numbers on a V8 Diesel RRS?

24/36 mo. lease - i'm not fussy, just trying to see whether i should buy or lease.

TIA.

I looked at this, best I could get was £500 for a 24 month lease.

A quick chat with your accountant should tell you if you would be better leasing or buying.

Thanks smarty pants - i'm not looking into what the advantages are for write-off's, only to see if it is that much cheaper to buy a used one due to depreciated values (but have to worry about owning a car that will only have a balance of a warranty) Vs. not having that headache and leasing a new one.

Just looked for one myself and decided to go 635d ..... dont ask

Skyfleet were about the best, I have gone for a business pcp on a 6month old one saved a fair chunk like £400 per month

Just emailed them, thank you.

Lol why did you go with the 6 over a RRS? Totally different!

I do 30k per year mainly on motorways and A roads I borrowed a rrs to do my journey in for two days.

For just pottering about it was fine but on A roads and motorways it was a nightmare, the brakes (brembos) were useless ( and warped after two days) my journey is mainly 6 - 7am M25 / A1 60 - 80 leptons.

The real problem was slowing in fast moving traffic, it was like trying to stop a lorry and then was so slow getting back from 60 -80 drove me completely mad

Just not suited to that kind of driving, however for every day stuff absoloutly fab and will be buying a second hand one for the mrs when the patter of tiny feet arrive.

Did the same in the 635 and it just flies and stops !!!

Added to that we have a defender that we will keep for funa and games

Hope that helps

Fair points Phil.

Driven them both many times and would agree.
