Item No: 190304945991

Advert says it's new for Buy it Now price of £60.

I think this is a good price.

Updating this part cured my Battery problem.

Not anymore!

Good spot - cheers.

Clearly wont leave feedback until I've tested it, just in case its an old one in a new case!

Possibly been stiffed on this. Part turned up in original box and I fitted it. I took a photo of it for reference:
("new" one is on the left, mine is right)

Car turned over slowy this morning after two days (cant measure current drain as I've blown the fuse in my fluke).

From reading this thread, my one is the interim one and the one I've been supplied is the original one:
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/p38-remote-recei...

Anyone know for sure?

If I get chance tomorrow Eliot, I'll take a look at the one fitted to mine (I know that mine is the newest one, and DOES solve the problem) and get back to you.

Thanks - appreciate it.
It would appear that my "new" one is better than my old one. If you sit in the car and lock the doors - the led on the "park" indicator stops dimly glowing and goes out when the BECM goes to sleep. This new one didn't come on in the 10mins I was sat inside it, so I put the old one back in and it came on about a minute after going off.
I guess I need to get the morning paper and sit in there for half hour or so!

Hi Eliot, I haven't had a chance to do this at all this week - I will try and have a look over the weekend - my apologies!

No worries - I'm leaving it parked until the weekend now - so I will see if it goes flat.

Car was flat today frown
So I've ordered the one from the local LR dealer, will see what that one looks like inside when it turns up.

I feel really guilty now. Sorry for pointing out the ebay listing.
Hope you get it sorted. This mod (with the correct part!) has finally fixed my flat battery which we suspect was caused by an Oregon Scientific Weather station.

Apologies again,
Shentodj

Bought a new one from local dealer and here' what they all look like:

Left is original design (the ebay one!), middle is the interim one - right is the genuine YWY500170 item.

The one I got from ebay is on its way back as I speak - and paypal say I will get a refund.

Hi Eliot,

I am assuming that the correct part you have bought from LR has fixed the problem?

I hope that the receiever being sent back to ScamBay has a slap attached to it? This is just another example of why I very rarely use eBay.....

I need to leave it parked up for a few days, but I'm confident that its fixed now. I turns over quickly, which is the usual clue that its been draining.

If it helps add confidence, Mine has just spent over two weeks parked up in a warehouse near to work, where there are literally thousands of radio signals flying around.

Started this morning on the first turn. - Replacement reciever was one of the best investments made!

Just to make you feel better still... I've just left mine for 11days on the drive (where it previously went flat in 2nights) whilst on hols. It started first time. Make life much simpler than having to jump start the bl**dy thing and then drive it around for an hour in preparation for work in the morning.
As Meeja said, "best investment I've made" for some time.

Sorry to rub it in, but I'm sooo happy!
Don't worry, something else will go wrong with mine again soon!!

Shentodj

I got into mine this morning, and noticed that the HeVAC didn't come on....... cue large groans!

ALl of the features worked though, and a quick tap on the front brought the screen back on. Methinks that the backlights on the display panel are iffy. It's a job I am prepared (and capable) of doing myself, but need to work up to doing it - I can see it being costly if I ask a dealer or indy to do it for me!

My new one is working fine - although I did have a false start; it was completely flat - the other morning - i put a meter on it - 1.5V !! Discovered that the kids had been playing with the interior light and it stays on even with the BECM asleep!
Paypal have refunded my money - but now the vendor is challenging me - because I opened it up! - Whichever way you look at it, the part wasn't as described on the box!

Point the vendor to this thread.......

Your photos say everything that needs to be said.

"Fit for purpose" and "Goods as described" spring to mind.....
