Just bought a year old 90 with the puma engine in it - just wondering if anyone has had one of these chipped and what the results were like?
Thanks
Dave

Got a TD5 myself.....but driven many re-mapped Pumas.

Try JE Engineering or failling that Allisport, Twisted Performance etc.

Makes a huge difference and also get that blasted speed limiter removed whilst your at it.

Cheers

the puma is awesome with a map on it. really torquey. got some at work that twisted mapped and de limited. 6th gear, 35mph, they dig in and pull. well worth a call.

And i really wouldn't want to go much faster in a defender, they ain't designed for roads

But it is, most the axles, suspension and steering are taken from the Classic Range Rover, deemed safe to do over 100 mph. They are also the same underpinnings as a Discovery 1. The brakes are actually bigger and they are lighter, the only downside is that they are less aerodynamic.

I can assure you my 110 is rock steady when on the speed limiter.

Just got back from JE Engineering after having a remap and a new filter.
WOW what a difference - great fun sitting behind repmobiles on the motorway and being able to keep up as they try to pull away.Loads more pulling power and the sat nav showed an indicated 90 on a private road i use!
Highly recomend the service,coffee, etc
