Hi all,

Hopefully picking up a 2004 TD6 next week and interested in getting it remapped. So far I've come across the following companies that do it :

JE engineering
Rapidremap (based cannock , Staffs)
DMS
Superchips

Overall, I read good things about the difference after a remap but wondered if anyone has any experience of these - is the end result likely to be pretty similar etc.. ?

Any info appreciated.

I had my TD6, also an 04, done by JE Engineering earlier this year at the same time as an a basic service. Cost about £500 all in but what a difference! Car is much much nicer to drive and so much more responsive now. Above 50 it really flies. Gets to 100 so much easier now. (Kph of course wink) No difference in economy but absolutely worth every penny. Service from them with a courtesy car was faultless too.

Thanks. I was leaning toward JE as I don't live too far away and they were really helpful on the phone. Shall try them and see !

Would always recommend Alive Tuning/Td5 Alive in Grimsby (http://td5alive.com/).

They did a Defender for me, plus my Discovery 3. Their remaps make the engine delivery really smooth and vehicle much nice to drive - the increase in performance isn't bad either - Gary at Alive always says that he never chases headlines bhp figures but focuses on drive-ability.

I think you would be really happy with their services. They may even have several tuning profiles available so you can choose the best one for your needs, ie. best for towing, outright performance, regular use, competition, etc.

i like the interface tool as if you buy the tool when you sale the car you return it to standard and when you buy your new RR he sends you a map for that car free
