Disco 3 TDV6 SE door problem

I have a problem with my dads car.

I closed the rear door and I think the rod has come off that operates the top rear door lock.

The solenoid is operating, but not opening it. I have opened the bottom section using the inside releases. However the top is obviously still attatched.

How do I manually operate the mechanism? or how do I get in to it?

Would quite like to get it fixed before he gets back. Ha Ha.

Will be last time I get asked to look after parents house.

Doesn't matter spoke to LR UK.

Just have to drill a hole to get in to activate manually.

Oh dear! Looks like I will be buying a new tailgate.
