Hi all, as you may already know the Land Rover Shows are nearing soon. Both Billing and Newark show clash with eachother; July 17-19.

For the past few years I have been to the Billing show, it has always been a good show, however recently it has been far too overcrowded and getting a plot your tent proved a nightmare if you hadn't turned up on the thursday! The same can be said for the toilet facilities! Long cues, and almost impossible to get a shower even when rising at 5AM to the sound of a V8 burbling past! biggrin

Has anybody been to the Newark show before? I think I'll be going to Newark for a change. I've worked it out that it will cost circa £70 in petrol there and back in the old girl! Roughly 130miles from where I stand, which is also closer than Billing!

Just after your thoughts really, which show will you be attending?

Thanks all, Tom

Billing.
If it's packed out it maked for a better show (more popular therefore more effort made by organisers, traders etc). Also, it's long established so will always be pupular. It's also only 10 miles from where I live!!!
I think both shows will be quiet this year for several reasons - the man one being that the traders will not be able to attend both. Also the sites not want silly money from the trade stands which puts them off!

I going to newark.

From other people's view on billing is its outgrown the size of the ground provided. Also the mag LRM who used to run it were promised by the ground owners that major drainage, road and shower/toilet improvements would happen. Nothing has been changed hense they moved onto a more secure and better maintained site.

Over 40 traders are going to newark and i know many friends will be making the journey to it, were also having a massive BBQ on one of the traders stands on saturday night as well which is going to be lovely smile
