I just bought two front leather electric seats out of a Disco II and wonder if they will fit and work in a 2007 Defender. Any ideas?

Should do as JE Engineering offer just such a conversion.
See http://www.jeengineering.co.uk/defender/interior-t... for details

Yeah...saw that already. They're too far away. I'm going to see if Brooklyn 4x4 can do it in Southampton. Got the seats already.

Where did you get your seats? I am looking for a pair for my Series 2A.

I found them on Ebay actually. Two grey leather electric seats in good nick (I'm going to have them retrimmed so wasn't too fussed about leather condition) for £125. Worth a punt, I thought.

It won't be me doing it, I can assure you! Just tried Brooklyn 4x4 and they were downright unhelpful actually. Phoned them up suggesting that I come over so we could talk about it and they said that for health and safety reasons they wouldn't do it. "Uh?" I said. "Don't you fit other Land Rover seats"...."Oh yes, of course, but only with proper Land Rover fitments". I even said that their competitor JE Engineering do it and was simply told that "they are not a competitor of theirs". Not happy with that. The woman on the phone needs to consider if this is likely to win them business.

So...I will happily post photos when I've found someone to do the work. I will let you know! Meantime, if anyone has any ideas of anyone that could do the work within an hour's drive from Southampton, I'd appreciate them letting me know!

Mate of mine has fitted cloth supra fully electric seats to his old school 90. Easy enough job to perform and the seats were actually free on the supra forum. You'll pick them up still for around £50

He lives in Poole which if you can make it there he can help you with the fitting no bothers, and if you want a leather alcantara retrim Gibson retrimming in eastleigh is the b*ll*x.
