I am a new Land Rover owner and am loving it - what is great is other owners waving at me on the road. Have passed some great looking machine so what about starting a spotted thread.

I am from the Bournemouth area so would be great to get to know some fellow Landy owners in the area.

The LR wave only happens for Defender owners. The other marques dont seem to have the same kind of affection.

OK and now for the spotted bit

Today followed a lovely green defender with blacked out windows HMD number plate through walisdown at around 6:00 this evening. The driver looked in his mirror and gave a great wave out the window - anyone on here?

I've started to notice this happening with P38 owners in the last few months.

Despite driving a Rangie, I generally give LR drivers a nod or wave - always have since before driving a Rangie - absolutely no idea why!
