Apologies to Discovery owner A5 Long Buckby

From the blue sports car driver who had a very near miss with you on Wednesday morning.

In case you are a PH'er, here is my version of events.

I'm enjoying having jumped off the motorway to use the A5 for a top down pootle and coming up to a wide junction at what I now believe is the turning off the A5 towards Long Buckby.

I'm approaching the junction at about 65, there is a car waiting at the junction to my left, waiting to go across my path and North, but he's standing still so not a threat.
Then this clown in a big diesel Merc comes down the inside of the standing car as he's turning left to join the A5 South and meanders straight out into my path at about 20mph.
He obviously saw me only after he'd pulled out, and floored it judging by the huge cloud of black smoke as I manoeuvred to go past.

My only course was to pull over into the right turn lane and go around the merc, which really pissed off the discovery driver just pulling into that lane to turn right, and boy did he let me know it.

I'm sure it looked like the arse in the TVR wanted to overtake at the expense of everyone else, but believe me, if the Merc owner hadn't stayed well back despite me slowing right down to wait for him, he'd really have got a piece of my mind about using the two brain cells still alive in his stupid head.

Anyway, my apologies Disco driver, I hope the episode hasn't shortened reduced your lifespan.

I would rant on the Merc forum, but the pillock who caused all this probably can't see beyond the end of his nose.
