SpeedYellow.

Having seen you posts on the "SVX - Not impressed" thread and seen your photos I have a question...

How easy is the soft top to put up and down?

I am quite taken with the look - but would like to get a 'review' from an owner.

Soft top up and down huh.... well if you believe the DVD Land Rover supply it takes two people 10 minutes to refit...

However, I've got it down to under 5 minutes to take down, fold and store in the lock box out of the way, very easy (compared to normal Land Rover tops).

The refitting can easily be done on your own, just takes practice to get the order right and has got considerably easier with practice, but does take 5-10 minutes to get everything done and several trips around the car from side to side.

Could it be better? Maybe, but it does work well, isn't too noisy on the motorway and gives a full roofless feel when it is off with no bulky roofs stored across the back. I also doesn't leak at all, when I was getting wet on the motorway, it wasn't the top that was leaking it was the door seal right by my hip, but all sorted under warranty.

New thought...

Do you use it in any half up/down 'mode' - i.e. just rolling the sides & back up?

Yup, that's a couple of minute job and gives lots of air but flaps a bit on the motorway!

Reincarnating this one.

Do you have the quick-clear windscreen? If not, how quick is defrosting in winter (appreciating your are in Sunny Soton, so it doesn't snowbiggrin)
