ZF Autobox Oil Cooler

I've got an 88 4 speed auto Range Rover and the autobox oil cooler has just failed again. Serves me right for fitting one from a scrapper. New ones are almost more that the car's worth

I've been advised that fitting a 13 row oil cooler will do the trick, probably from an MGB/C

Has anyone done this and do they have wisdom to impart?

I run a 13 row mocal cooler on the dakar without too many problems. Gets a little warm when booting it for long durations, which considering its taking 400bhp and isn't plumbed into the radiator it does well.
