As the main beam candles on my 56 deffender are useless I got a set of driving lamps and fitted them. The kit comes with a tottaly barking wiring harness that I have modiffied, It sugests taking the main feed from the battery but that is not ideal on a 90 so is there a suitable live under the dash that can be used?
When I installed spots - I did take the feed direct from the battery on my Td5. Instead of thinking of going through - why dont you do what I did - go under.
The battery box had lots of cables going through grommets in the sides - I put my cables through the ones heading towards the centre of the vehicle and ran them underneath (following other cables / pipes) obviously tyrapping them at regular intervals - gets you right into the engine bay anywhere you want.
