Ranger Rover - 15k
Discussion
Td6 is tractor noisy. Ours (53) gets a lot of electrical faults and there is never a time when everything works at once, we've given up with the dealer trying to fix some parts such as reversing sensors and electric steering adjustment (which is very intermittent)!
However you do get a very accomplished car for £15k an it still has a great sense of occasion.

Someone asked a similar question at work and we got onto the topic of RR's and RR Sports.
The general consensus was that they seem to be either owned by school mums or folk who see themselves as drug dealers.
i hate that. The general consensus was that they seem to be either owned by school mums or folk who see themselves as drug dealers.
rr sports are cracking cars. if someone likes one, then they should be able to buy one irrelevent of the 'image'

Asking for trouble or good value? You get about a 53 plate for this money it seems.
Depends on mileage. I have a 2003 TD6 had it chipped and love it. Yes you get some problems but you do with any car. Dont know why people slate them. I love mine. even chipped it aint gonna break any records but the feeling you get from driving one outweighs anything else. If I want power and speed I use my Skyline. Simples...homerjay said:

My car is 53 plate, I've owned it for a number of years (although I paid more than 15k for it back then!) and it's been fine. Some niggles, nothing outlandish or wallet crippling. Expansion tank, brake discs, a couple of ball joints etc
They are all getting to the stage where transmission fluid should be changed and oil collers and radiators are failing. Not massively expensive to do but could cause expensive issues if not dealt with promptly.
