RR TDV8 fuel consumption

I'm thinking about getting a '06/'07 TDV8. Can anybody confirm the fuel consumption figures in the real world? Also any info. on re-mapping with regards to performance and economy. Thanks

I have a Sport in the absence of any direct answers

Its pretty much only used 4 up on motorways and on a roads and gives 26-30mpg depending on the mix of each

However in the snow it became the daily snotter and was used for the purpose it was actually designed for - school run, commuting, shops etc

Around town I was getting 20mpg

As has been said before though in reality the fuel bills are a small percentage of running costs with any expensive car

my dad has a remapped tdv8 and it hits about 29mpg on the motorway at a cruise of 90ish. and the way that engine pulls once its mapped is just surreal

Hi Mine averages 22.6 on normal around town driving 28ish on a run,and today Norwich to Birmingham and back towing a loaded car trailer 24mpg (car has been remapped)

My 08 RR TDV8 average over 17.5k miles is 21.37mpg. I have got as much as 33mpg on long journeys, however, urban driving can get down to 17.65mpg.
Where can I get it mapped and will it affect the warrantees.

Mine has averaged 24.5mpg over the last 2000 miles. Seen it as high as 33mpg at 75mph over a 80 mile trip. Car has been remapped....And boy can you tell!

I have been told that remapping isnt the best idea as the gearbox cannot handle the increased power. Is this right?

I'm no mechanic or fact-geek, but if this great lump can't handle the extra few ponies and implodes.........My arse! And as for warranty, get a relationship with the dealer, never had an issue with blaming a stuck window motor on the remap.
