Does this look too good to be true?

I have always liked the look of the Classic.

There was a thread about this a week ago.The owner according to some who had contacted him seemed a bit dubious.

Write-off apparently, but if it's as nice as it looks I'm not sure I'd be too bothered for a couple of grand.

Since the advert is so specific about the car's life and owners, I'm surprised that a serious accident appears to have been forgotten about! wink

Would it be fair to say that at this price point as long as the car tracks right it doesnt matter?

Could a Classic Rangey not generate this type of price for a service bill and so can be considered "throw away money"?

Just a thought as I once bought a Golf Clipper under similar circumstances (a lot cheaper) and this was the thought process I went through.

I think ths issue is that it is a Cat C write off (Extensive damage) and at it's age and the kind of money it will sell for, many potential purchasers probably won't bother with an HPI.

So they will be driving around in something that has had pretty major repair work, possibly without realising it.
