Is there an idiots guide when you get in a 90 on how you establish that the hi/lo/diff stuff is working?

I feel a bit of a prick asking but there you go..

I did try to reply to this at the weekend, but my PC was throwing a wobbly!
The high-low box also has a neutral setting just like any other gearbox (ie no gear between the other 2 settings) so it will be pretty clear. In low ratio you should be able to lift the clutch in, say 3rd gear, at tickover without stalling the engine. First gear will be increadibly slow.
The dif lock should show an orange light on the dashboard when it's engaged. This should extinguish when disengaged - but this normally requires driving the vehicle a short distance (sometimes in reverse) to allow it to drop out.
