Hello to you all.
I have an old TIM electronic rev counter and was thinking of fitting it to my 200TDi Defender, but was wondering where to et the pulse signal to drive it. I know that Discos all have rev counters. Where do these get their pick-ups from? The only info I can find suggests a feed off the alternator but this would obviously take some calculating to get an accurate pulse. The meter has a switch for 4,6 or 8 cylinder engines.
Has anyone fitted on of these?

Yep you take a feed from the W post on alternater.

The dip switches are for a coil triggered feed.

Normally there is a screw which will allow you to fine tune the reading.
