The car from standing start (mostly from cold) feels like its vibrating more than it should. Also The past couple of days when I select reverse it sounds like a small thump into gear!

Its a 2006/7 Vogue Supercharged BTW.

Am I being paranoid?

Coming from a TVR back ground my eyes light up and the slightest thing and the brain automatically makes my hand pick up my wallet while thinking oh st here we go again! LOL

Well if it is then thats an easier fix I suppose! or hope!

Typical by the time I got to taking it to the dealer it had stopped doing it. Hopefully never to return.

Mine also seems to vibrate when cold for a minute then settles down, a bit odd really!

Also get a little thump sometimes when selecting reverse too.

Would be interested to know what is causing these issues.

Sorry its taken a while to diagnose the small thump! But we have it! Or at least what causes mine.
When I've been pulling up to park and on occasion pressing the lowering button so the missus (shortass) can get out. I've been pressing the button then selecting park and applying the hand brake! Now this is where I've been going wrong as its winding up the diff or something. If I press the button with the car in park and wait till its fully lowered then apply the hand brake I get no thump when selecting reverse.....ever! Phew! Wallet can breathe a sigh of relief for now.

A couple of other things I've noticed and had a hard time getting resolved were:

  • DSC coming on when cornering at slow speed on the road. Very scary when you feel the brakes being applied. Caused by a slightly under inflated rear tyre (5psi) go figure! I only realised it was this when a friend told me this happens to his.
  • reduced engine performance warning and loss of power. Caused by using Ron 98 fuel and not Ron 95! I thought it would have been the other way around and cannot figure it out! Dealer wanted to replace most of the car! LOL
  • Transmission range not available message. Even though it was available and had no problems. This was a battery on the way out!
  • Dodgy unreliable fuel range gauge. Not found the problem with this. Suspect its the only actual fault with the car.

Damn and I thought TVR's were interesting LOL

But all these silly niggles aside its a great motor. I don't suppose anyone know of any software available that will reliably connect to it and let me see fault codes etc?

Cheers guys!
